I am a yogi, a wife, a daughter, a sister, an aunt and a mother to a beautiful Tanizanian village dog and two crazy shelter cats. Don't be deceived by these labels, I am also so much more!
Ever since I was little I believed in magic. My definition of magic today is different from what it once was- but I still believe in it and I believe it's all around. I believe a part of that magic is that we all in our raw humaness have great power. I want to help others see that magic and experience their power. I took my first yoga class fifteen years ago. What hooked me then still amazes me today: the practice's ability to assist one in dropping into their body and experiencing their being from a seat of compassion and gratitude. I practiced on and off throughout the following decade. I lead a club in high school and taught a group of orphans when I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Tanzania. After graduate school I took the plunge and journeyed through a number of trainings that opened me up to a whole new side of the practice. I originally went through yoga teacher training to simply deepen my practice and learn more about yoga. I ended up learning that sharing yoga and other healing practices with others filled me up in a way that my practice alone couldn't. Overtime my practice and teaching has focused more on the subtle and energetic body. In addition to yoga I assist people in self- healing practices. Through my offerings I seek to assist people in settling into their wholeness- to embrace their authenticity and all the pieces that make them who they are. |
